Started as an idea to develop 1 colour a week for 52 weeks at the beginning of 2007. At that time we were brushing out samples of colour a A4 sheets, and handing out white tins of paint to customers with hand written lables on them. Over time, colour groupings evolved into the "families" that are part of the new format, hand painted colour cards that we use today. In July 2008 we launched Providence Paint with labels and colour cards to boot.

Our first sale was actually a gift. In the US it's thought
to be good luck to give away your first product. This the very first with
it's new label on it. The customer was totally surprised and completely
thrilled to have it.
She chose Stillwater (Value I).

Hanging the Banners outside the shop
We painted banners with our new logo. We used them to line the drive at Burwash and hang outside our shop.
