Providence Paint is a waterbased product that was launched in 2008. The colours have been developed using environmentally friendly colourant that is VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) free. The following are details of the 3 types of paint that we supply plus our stain blocking primer.

Chalky emulsion

is for use on interior walls and ceilings. It is a highly pigmented, extra matt water-based paint providing super coverage.
1 L, 2.5 L & 5 L.

Universal eggshell

is primarily used on interior and exterior wood. Universal eggshell is a tough durable finish. It is used on doors, skirting boards, window frame, architraves, and furniture, including kitchens. It properties are such that it can also be used on exterior woodwork, fences and cladding and it can be used on plastic and non-ferrous metals. It is also self priming, so can be used as it's own primer and undercoat.

Universal matt

is for interior and exterior use. It can be used on walls, ceilings, woodwork, masonry, non-ferrous metals (like Universal eggshell). It is tough, durable and more washable than ordinary emulsion. This makes it ideal for high traffic areas including kitchens and hallways. It is a hard wearing, matt alternative to eggshell finishes and has a finish that is similar to dead flat oil.

Stain blocking primer

primer & undercoat is for use on interior and exterior wood, joinery and other porous surfaces. It is quick drying and re-coatable in a day. Thin, where necessary, with with water.
1 L, 2.5 L.

• 1 litre of Chalky emulsion, Universal matt or Universal eggshell covers approximately 10 to 12 square metres, dependent on surface porosity.

• You can ring our shops to order a colour card. They cost £3.50. You can also ring our shops and ask us to pre-mix your paint so that it's ready for collection.
